OVERVIEW | DOME: DIA, Advantech UNO-2271G
The DIA (DOME Interface Appliance) is a local management and authentication device that is used for a DOME (Device Ownership Management and Enrollment) installation. It helps to form a secure enclave that implements a NIST-compliant Zero Trust framework that protects automation and control devices that would otherwise be susceptible to cyberattack. Communication from any device not authenticated to participate in the secure enclave will be rejected and have a corresponding alert generated.
Key Features
- Manages Cloud Connection: The DIA is the single connection to the cloud for all DOME-enabled devices or DOME Sentry devices in a secured environment, enabling all other devices to be more secure by avoiding internet connectivity.
- Device Management: Manages the participation of devices in the secure enclave and supports the secure delivery of firmware update packages.
- Credential Management: Automatically distributes and updates credentials for DOME-enabled devices to participate in a secure enclave, eliminating costly support from Cyber/IT staff.
- Device Authentication: Authenticates devices to participate in a secure enclave.
- Data Logging: Receives the data logs from the local DOME-enabled devices and forwards them to the DOME Dashboard for analytics, auditing, and reporting.
