The MEP-4002 is the ultimate solution for precise control in HVAC systems. This compact and powerful actuator provides tri-state or proportional control for small dampers or valves, with a minimum torque of 40 in-lbs. The actuator’s advanced “anti-jitter” circuitry ensures smooth operation and reduces wear on the actuator and valve components, while the user-initiated, auto-mapping feature allows for easy customization and improved equipment control.

The MEP-4002 is a proportional, non-failsafe actuator designed for use in HVAC systems. With a voltage of 24VAC and a torque of 40 in-lbs, this compact actuator provides tri-state or proportional control for small dampers or valves.

The actuator accepts a 0-10 or 2-10 volts DC control signal input from a thermostat, controller, or building automation system. To reduce hunting and wear on the actuator and valve components, the actuator features “anti-jitter” circuitry. A user-initiated, auto-mapping feature allows the reassignment of the 0-10 or 2-10 volts DC input signal range over a reduced rotation range of 45° to 95°. Additionally, the actuator includes a switch-selectable, 1–5 or 2–10 (or 0–5 or 0–10) VDC voltage feedback output that is proportional to the actuator position.

The MEP-4001/4003/4013/4021/4801/4813/4821 tri-state/two-position models are designed for use with floating thermostats, controllers, or building automation systems. The MEP-4013/4813 models include a 10,000 ohm (+/- 10%), three-wire potentiometer feedback output.

The MEP-4X21/4X22 models feature a fully adjustable, built-in SPDT auxiliary switch for remote position indication or controller and equipment interface. The MEP-4001V/4002V/4003V actuators have brackets with a patented, quick-mounting mechanism that mounts directly on VFB-43XXBC and VFB-46XXBC series valve bodies.

All other MEP-4000s mount directly to 1/4- to 5/8-inch (6 to 16 mm) round shafts or 1/4- to 7/16-inch (6 to 11 mm) square shafts, eliminating the need for expensive and complicated linkages. A non-rotation bracket is included to prevent lateral movement, and a gear disengagement feature allows manual positioning of the actuator.

For fail-safe versions of these actuators, see the MEP-4200/4500/4900 series. Alternatives include the modular MEP-4042/4842 and the fast-operating 10 in-lb. MEP-4101.

Upgrade your HVAC system with the MEP-4002 and experience unparalleled precision and control. It’s the perfect choice for building automation systems, thermostats, and controllers. And for those who require fail-safe versions, see the MEP-4200/4500/4900 series. Alternatives include the modular MEP-4042/4842 and the fast-operating 10 in-lb. MEP-4101.
